NFF accuses govt. of double standards over Mangala’s remarks

The National Freedom Front (NFF) accused the government of double standards on Sunday after the Foreign Minister sought more time to ‘meet the goals’ at the U.N. human rights session began in Geneva earlier this week.

NFF spokesperson MP Mohamed Muzammil expressed this view while speaking during a press conference held in Colombo.

“Isn’t it questionable, as to why the Foreign Minister had to request for more time since both the President and the Prime Minister have not agreed to a hybrid court,” he asked.

“What the government tells people is totally different from what they tell to the international community,” Muzammil charged.

He also pointed out this year’s UNHRC report would force Sri Lanka to implement the recommendations made in its 2015 report.
