Lasantha’s murder: Sujeewa admits having a suspicion about SF

State Minister of International Trade Sujeewa Senasinghe says that he had a suspicion about Sarath Fonseka as well with regard to the murder of journalist Lasantha Wickramatunga during the previous government.

Responding to question from journalists regarding reports alleging a connection between the then Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and the high profile murder, he said that Sarath Fonseka has clearly stated that he had no involvement in the murder.

Because any army personnel could be connected to this criminal gang, he has to take some responsibility as the then Army Commander, minister Senasinghe told reporters in Colombo.

However, it is clear that a gang of killers operated in the past through the Rajapaksas, he said, adding that all responsible individuals will be brought before justice very soon.
