Alleged drug kingpin Mohammed Siddique, who was arrested in Pakistan and later brought to Sri Lanka, has been further remanded until 11 April by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.

The suspect was remanded after being produced before Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe on Tuesday afternoon.

When the case was taken into consideration, a Counsel who appeared on behalf of Siddique had also requested the Magistrate to issue a directive allowing his client to appear before the Court, without producing him before a special Court at the Welikada Prison, Ada Derana reporter said.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is investigating regarding the suspect under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
