Five arrested for attempting to steal Rs.40 million artifact

Five individuals have been arrested for attempting to sell valuable artifacts in Kandy. 

Police said the suspects were arrested by the Kandy Crime and Operation unit. 

The copper artifact is believed to be worth around Rs.40 million and weighed around 56.5 Kg. 

The individuals are believed to be residents of the Gampola, Delthota and Ulapaneh areas
