Four top police officers transferred

Two Chief Inspectors of Police and two Inspectors have been ordered transferred with immediate effect, based on the recommendation of the IGP and approval of the National Police Commission.
Chief Inspector R.D.M. Cyrill has been transferred from Negombo Division to serve as the Acting OIC of Pesale police station while Chief Inspector A.A. Waheed has been transferred from Batticaloa to Karadiyanaru to serve as Acting OIC.
Meanwhile Inspector W.P.A. Sanath Kumara has been transferred from Matara division to serve as acting OIC of Rotumba Police and Inspector U.C. Jayawckrama has been transferred from Matara to Malimbada for duty as the acting OIC.
