Sri Lankan boy drowns in a pond in Tiruchy

A twelve-year-old boy, who resided in the Kottapattu Sri Lankan Tamil refugee camp, drowned in a pond at Khajamalai in Tiruchy on Friday. 

The boy, U. Rohit, a fourth standard student in a private school at Subramaniapuram, had gone to a pond for fishing along with his friends when the tragedy occurred. 

The body was retrieved and sent to the Government Hospital in Tiruchy. The K.K. Nagar police have registered a case.
