Ongoing crisis: death toll reaches 100, 99 missing, 207,290 affected in total

Death toll due to the inclement weather and associated crisis has risen to 100, Government said, according to latest reports.

Meanwhile, 99 persons have been reported to be missing.

207,290 individuals in total have been affected by the prevalent extreme weather conditions so far, according to the Disaster Management Center (DMC).

14 districts were affected.

103 have been reported dead whereas 113 have reportedly been injured.

The Ratnapura district recorded the highest number of deaths, amounting upto 46.
