Alleged CB bond scam: Harsha testifies before the CoI

Deputy Minister Harsha de Silva has appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds, to testify in connection with the Sri Lanka Central Bank bond issue. 

Secretary of the Commission, Sumathipala Udugamasooriya stated that the Deputy Minister was called to testify before the Commission at 10.00 am today (05).

Accordingly, the Secretary confirmed that Harsha de Silva was currently in the process of giving his testimony with regard to the alleged bond scam.

Meanwhile, sources confirmed that the Additional Director of the Central Bank, Wasantha Alwis, had also been summoned to testify before the Commission today (05).
