Russian sail training ship departs from Colombo harbour

The Russian sail training ship Nadezda which arrived at the port of Colombo, has set sail from the Colombo harbour. 


The ship that is 108.6 m in length and 14 m in width, had got 120 training cadets on-board.   


During its stay in the country, the ship was open for the visit of school children, on 15,16 and 17. Besides, the ships crew had organised a photography exhibition on-board ship for the visitors to enjoy. 


Apart from that, they took part in several programmes and sporting events organised by the Sri Lanka Navy.
