TNA seeks details from Vigneswaran

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has sought details from Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Vigneswaran on the current political situation, it was reported.


MP M.A. Sumanthiran said that TNA leader R. Sampanthan has apprised the Chief Minister regarding this in written.


The TNA had earlier rejected a request made by Vigneswaran on two provincial ministers to resign from their portfolios.


On June 14, 21 members of the Northern Provincial Council also handed over a no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister.
