55-year-old killed after collision with train in Galle

An individual had passed away after colliding with a train travelling along the Galle- Matara track. 

Police stated that the train which was travelling from Kandy to Matara, had hit the individual, who later passed away at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital after being admitted with critical injuries. 

The deceased has been identified as a 55 year-old resident of the Kotugoda area in Galle. 

The Galle Fort Police Department have begun further investigations on the matter.
