Presidential Commission re-issues summons to Ravi

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and Inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds has re-issued summons on former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

The commission had previously issues summons for him to appear before the commission today (25), however Mr Karunanayake, who currently serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, had informed the commission through an attorney that he is unable to do so due to official duties. 

President Maithripala Sirisena has extended the term of the commission for the second time.

The President has further enlarged the time by three months to submit the report of the issuance of Treasury Bonds from July 27 to October 27, 2017.
