Unexploded LTTE mortar shells uncovered in Mannar

 Seven unexploded mortar shells and several other weapons utilized by the LTTE were discovered at an abandoned LTTE outpost in the outskirts of the Manthai West divisional secretariat area in Mannar today (4)

Officials from the Adampan Police stated that they were able to recover the explosives from intelligence provided by the Air Force. It was reported that 04, 81mm mortar shells and 03, 60mm mortar shells were recovered from the outpost. 

The police also reported that the bomb the diffused by the Army Bomb Disposal squadron under the decision made by the Mannar Magistrate.
