Fire breaks out at clothing store in Weligama

An unexpected fire erupted in a clothing store in Weligama late last night.

Police stated that the fire had occurred at approximately 11.20 pm yesterday (17).

The Police and the Fire Fighting Unit, together with the residents, had successfully put out the flames.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the fire occurred due to an electrical leakage.

The damage caused by the fire has not yet been assessed quantitatively.
