Government servants should strive to earn the trust of the people – President

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that all government servants should dedicate their services towards the development of the government sector, whilst ensuring the progress of the nation’s economy is sustained.  

He also stated that if the general public is not satisfied with certain government sectors, their respective authoritarians should be held responsible. 

Speaking to the media at the ceremony held to present land deeds to the residents within the mahaweli development project area, President Sirisena stated that a public servant must strive to satisfy the citizens of the country to reinforce trust in the government service.
