The Examinations Department has imposed a life-long ban on the student who was arrested for leaking the 2017 Advanced Level Chemistry part II paper. Accordingly the student will be barred from facing any public examination conducted by the Department of examinations.

The Advanced Level student was arrested on August 23, by the CID for allegedly sending pictures of the Chemistry part II paper to his tuition master.

The Police found out that the tutor had received the pictures on his private electronic tab via a mobile device. The Police later confiscated Rs.900000 from the tuition master’s house which was believed to be the Rs. 1 million paid by the student’s father who was arrested along with his son and the tuition master.
