Application deadline for “Subaga”extended

The application deadline for the scholarship program “Subaga” had been extended until September 22, the Education Ministry announced.

“Subaga” was launched as a concept by Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam which offeres scholarships for students who display outstanding skills in sports, arts and innovative fields.

The program had been implemented with the objective of producing a creative generation,the Minister said.

“Subaga” grants scholarships worth Rs. 50,000.00 each for 1000 students who display skills in three categories; sports, arts, and innovation.

Grade 12 students who will be starting their G.C.E. Advanced Levels will be granted the scholarship as the initial step of the program.

The applications should be submitted before Sepetember 22,The Education Ministry annouced.
