GMOA strike action continues for the third day

Today marks the third day of the strike action launched by the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) which was organized in district level demanding the government to abolish SAITM.

The GMOA stated that the strike action will function in five districts today (14).

Accordingly, the strike action will take place in Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Kandy, Rathnapura and, Galle districts.

However, smooth functioning of children’s LRH, maternity hospitals, kidney and cancer hospitals were ensured.

A vehicle parade is also being operated parallel to the strike action, stated Dr.Prasad Kolambage,GMOA central committee member.
