Murder of uni students in Jaffna: 5 cops granted bail

The Jaffna High Court has granted bail to the 5 police officers remanded in connection with the murder of 2 university students in Jaffna.

According to the Ada Derana reporter, the ruling was made by Jaffna High Court Judge M. Ilancheliyan.

Two university students who were riding on a motorcycle in Kokuvil died suspiciously on October 20, 2016. Investigations revealed that there were bullet marks on the corpses.

Accordingly, a sub police inspector and four other officers were arrested and subsequently remanded in connection with the incident.
