UPFA MP Arundika Fernando crossed over and sat with the opposition in Parliament, a short while ago.

Fernando, who was recently removed from his post of Deputy Minister, sat in the opposition bench after making a special announcement in Parliament.

He was removed from his portfolio as the Deputy Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Affairs on September 12.

Following his sacking, the MP said that he would extend his fullest support to the Joint Opposition and held them topple the government.
