National issues can be resolved through sport – PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that Sri Lanka can further establish a firm national identity within the global arena through a concerted effort to excel in sports. 

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Sports Festival, the Premier stated that solutions to national issues may be arrived at through sport as it fosters several ethics and ideals that will benefit the leaders of the nation.
