Guards fire warning shots at court as inmates attempt escape

Two prison inmates were apprehended after they attempted to escape custody at the Hulftsdorp court complex premises, a short while ago. 

Prison guards had fired warning shots into the air as the two suspects, including a foreign national, had attempted to flee.

They have been taken into custody, reports said. The inmates were escorted to the court by prisons guards this morning to be produced before a magistrate over a ongoing case.
