Govt should be ashamed of corruption allegations – SB

Minister of Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage S.B.Dissanayake stated that the current government should be ashamed that corruption allegations have been levied against state officials as the regime came into power with the promise of a corruption free Sri Lanka. 

He further stated that there may be a connection between the Bond Commission issue and the money transfer scandal highlighting the large scale corruption within the nation. 

The punishment of the perpetrators of such acts of corruption is long overdue the Minister said.
