WP Councillor Prasanna Sanjeewa remanded

Western Province Provincial Council member Prasanna Sanjeewa was remanded following a hearing at the Kalutara Magistrate’s court today (22). 

Accordingly he has been remanded till tomorrow (23), where another formal hearing will be held. 

Western PC member member Prasanna Sanjeewa was arrested yesterday (21), for obstructing the daily duties of government doctors of the Dharga town hospital. 

A large mob inclusive of Prasanna Sanjeewa staged protests at the hospital stating that the doctors did not treat a patient who had been admitted to the hospital after being struck by lightning.
