Family of four commit suicide in Jaffna

Four members of the same family including three children have died and are believed to have committed suicide by consuming poison at their residence in Ariyale,Jaffna.
The deceased have been identified as mother (28) daughter (4) and twin sons (2).
The debt- ridden mother had added poison to ice cream and served the three children and had consumed it herself, police investigations revealed.
The husband of the woman had also committed suicide one month ago due to his inability to settle debts, investigations revealed.
The victims were rushed to hospital by neighbors,however, all four of them died on admission to the hospital, according to police.
