Petroleum Resources Development Minister Arjuna Ranatunga warned of the re-occurrence of a fuel crisis in the country.

He made this statement while answering questions raised by journalists at a media briefing yesterday (12)

The Minister said that the country has no money at present and he pointed out the importance of building an oil refinery even through foreign investments.

“Profits could be gained within a period of five years if an oil refinery is built. Discussions are being held on this regard” He added.

The Minister also said that there is no necessity to increase fuel prices, as the public undergo a high living cost at present.
