Indian national detained in Vavuniya for overstaying VISA

An Indian national who was illegally residing in Sri Lanka was apprehended by officials of the Vavuniya Police earlier today (14). 

The suspect who had overstayed his VISA was detained in close proximity to the Vavuniya hospital at 10.00am today. 

Vavuniya police officials state that the suspect is to be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate’s court within the course of the day.
