Newly appointed Navy Commander calls on Speaker

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe called on the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Karu Jayasuriya at his office in the premises of the Parliament.

Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe convened with the speaker of Parliament yesterday (14), where several integral issues were discussed. 

The Speaker conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ranasinghe on his new appointment during the cordial discussions held. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the Navy Commander’s first official meeting with the Speaker after assuming office.
