Suspect connected to multiple crimes detained in Katana

Officials from the Meegamuwa Crimes Division apprehended a suspect connected with multiple crimes near the Katana filling station earlier today (15). 

Police sources state that the suspect is connected with jewelry theft, motorcycle theft and larceny in Kotadeniyawa, Girandurukotte, Pannala and Meegamuwa. It was also reported that a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s court. 

The 23-year old suspect will be produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s court today (15).
