Government Medical Faculty students will resume attending lectures from today (20) Medical Faculty Student’s Action Committee (MFSAC) Convener Ryan Jayalath said.

6500 students of all eight Government Medical Faculties withdrew from their academics on January 01, as a mark of protest against South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).

The students will attend their lectures as issue pertaining to SAITM was solved satisfactorily, Ryan Jayalath said.

He said that the anti-SAITM protests carried out by Inter University Students’ Federation, the MFSAC, parents and several other groups came to end on November 8, after a discussion held with Deputy Minister Dr.Harsha de Silva.
