Former Minister of Parliament Tissa Attanayake stated that the country will continue to be divided administratively should the current coalition government remain in power.

He further stated that the existing tension between the UNP and SLFP will continue if the two parties remain united as a government.

Speaking to the media following his visit to the Asgiriya temple, Minister Attanayake stated that the Bond scandal could have been avoided if the relevant parties were investigated at the advent of the incident.
