School term dates released

The Ministry of Education today announced the date on which all government and government approved private schools will close for year end vacation and the date they will reopen.

The third term of government and government approved private schools will end on Friday (December 08) while the first term of the year 2018 will commence on January 02, 2018. 

The Ministry of Education said that the dates for the schools to be used at paper marking centers of the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination, will be announced on a later date. 

The 2017 G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination will be held from December 12 to 21 at 5,116 examination centers across the island.
