57 schools to be closed in January for paper-marking

The Department of Examinations announced that several schools across the country will be closed during the beginning of 2018 as they will be utilized as paper marking centers for the 2017 GCE Ordinary Level examination.
It was announced that the paper marking process will take place in two phases.
• Stage 1 : January 2, 2018 – January 13, 2018
• Stage 2 : January 23, 2018 – February 1, 2018
Accordingly 57 schools will be completely closed for stage 1 and will reopen for the first term of on January 15, 2018. 26 other schools will be partially closed for stage 2 and will reopen completely on February 1, 2018.
