Former Navy Spokesman further remanded

Former Navy Media Spokesman Commodore D.K.P. Dassanayake and 6 others have been further remanded until December 22 by Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court. 

The former Spokesman was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on July 12, in connection with the case involving the abduction and enforced disappearance of 11 Tamil youths in 2008.

Dassanayake was named as a suspect in the investigation being conducted by the CID.
