Minimum qualifications for medical education

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal prescribing the minimum qualifications for medical education in Sri Lanka. 

The cabinet paper was put forward by Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senarathne.

Relevant parties have agreed to prescribe the Minimum Qualification as two credit passes and one simple pass in the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in one sitting for subjects of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. 

It was decided to publish above matter in gazette as regulations under the Medical Ordnance, the co-cabinet spokesman said, during the weekly cabinet press briefing held in Colombo today (13).
