Police detain students attempting to sit-in as proxies at Ordinary Levels

Two private students that attempted to appear for the GCE Ordinary Level examination as proxies for other students were detained by the Lunugala Police. 

The two suspects attempted to sit for the exam at the Lunugala Central College where they were uncovered by exams officials. 

The head supervisor at the examination center informed the Lunugala police of the two students that had exchanged index numbers to sit in as proxies. 

The two students aged 17 and 18 were taken into custody and will be produced before the Badulla Magistrate’s Court.
