Election complaints can now be sent via SMS

The Elections Commission today introduced a new method for the public to submit election-related complaints concerning the upcoming Local Government Election using text messages.
Election Commission chairman Mahinda Deshapriya requested to forward such complaints by typing “EC <space> EV <space> (relevant district) <space> (description of complaint)” and send to 1919.
