Five persons drown while bathing in Hulu Ganga

Five persons have drowned while bathing in the Hulu Ganga in Panwila, Kandy.

Four bodies have been recovered so far, according to Police Spokesman.

Bodies of three women and one man have been recovered, during a joint search operation carried out by Panwila Police and residents of the area.

Search operations are underway to recover the body of other missing person.

The deceased are reportedly employees of a garment factory in Hanwella and had traveled to the location on a private excursion.
