Underworld figure ‘Solta’ arrested by CCD

One of the chief followers of ‘Angoda Lokka’, Muniwarage Asitha Premathilake alias ‘Solta’,  who was allegedly involved in several shooting incidents ,has been arrested along with a pistol, by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD), stated the Police Spokesperson.

The arrest was made today (18), at Borella.

He is the main suspect for the murder of a person named Roshan Premalal  alias ‘Poli Roshan’ by shooting him at a pedestrian walk in Malabe and of a beautician named Manjula Sanduni Abeyratna, according to the police.

Asitha Premathilake is 23 year old resident of No. 442/3, Mulleriyawa North and Mulleriyawa, said the police.

When arrested, a 9 mm pistol, 5 live ammunition and 6g 650mg of heroin had been in the possession of him.

The SP further stated that this is the pistol used in the two shooting incidents mentioned above.
