Govt. should reveal the fuel price formula – JVP

The government should reveal the fuel price formula to the country, says the JVP.
General Secretary of JVP Tilvin Silva stated this at a press conference held in Colombo, today (11).
He stated that the public cannot bear the increased cost of living caused by fuel price hike.
According to him, the government should also introduce an income increment formula and increase the salaries of government and private sector employees every two months on par with the fuel price increments calculated by the fuel pricing formula.
The increase of fuel prices results in a price increase of many other services and products, he added.
Both current and past governments do not have a proper economic policy, further stated Tilvin Silva.
