Dedicated police unit to be set up within Prisons Dept.

Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms Thalatha Athukorale says that a dedicated police unit will be set up within the Prisons Department.
She made these comments while speaking during an event held in Ratnapura today (16).
The minister said that the decision to establish a police unit within the prison system was taken in the wake of the recent disbanding of the intelligence unit of the Welikada Prison.
