IGP is a disgrace to Sri Lankan Police history – Anura Kumara

The current Inspector General of Police (IGP) is behaving in a manner that disrepute the whole of Sri Lankan Police history, says JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Doubts arise regarding the investigations conducted under him as the IGP is behaving as a young child and it also arouses suspicions on the trustworthiness of these investigations, says the MP.

He expressed these view following his visit to Anunayake Thero of Malwathu Chapter at Kandy, today (19).

Dissanayake further said that the IGP is presenting conclusions regarding the phone call recording on the alleged conspiracy to assassinate the President, before even investigations are being held.
