The Finance Ministry, and the National Policies and Economic Affairs Ministry are making excuses for the depreciation of Sri Lankan Rupee, the Joint Opposition says.

Joining a press conference held in Colombo, UPFA MP D.V. Chanaka stated that the main reason for the depreciation of Sri Lankan Rupee is the lack of investments flowing into the country.

Furthermore the government has failed to attract any investment inflow into the country ever since it came to power, Chanaka further claimed.
