President to arrive in New York

President Maithripala Sirisena will arrive at New York in USA to attend the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

President left the island with his team of delegation last night (22) and will be addressing the session on the 25th September.

This will be his fourth consecutive annual address to the world body.

This year’s theme of the UNGA Session is, “Making the United Nations Relevant to All People: Global Leadership and Shared responsibilities for Peaceful, Equitable and Sustainable Societies.”
