The general public has to pay for the consequences of the power struggle within the government, says the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He stated this joining an event held in Colombo last evening (17).

A meeting of professionals, organized by the Sri Lanka Podujana Engineers’ Front, was held yesterday under the patronage of the former President.

“It is doubtful whether a government or a country really exists today,” Mahinda Rajapaksa has said addressing the meeting.

This is a result of the lack of proper developmental or administrative plan, he further stated.

In a context where the President is unaware of what the Prime Minister says, it is problematic as to how the country could be developed, Rajapaksa said.
