A hotline has been introduced to obtain information and file complaints regarding the ‘Enterprise Sri Lanka’ Concessionary Loan Schemes.

The toll-free hotline – 1925, which is available in all three languages, can be reached using any telephone network.

The complaints that are received through the hotline will be submitted to the relevant banks via e-mails and a copy of each complaint will also be sent over to the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media.

A follow-up regarding the complaints will be carried out daily, says the Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera.

The Enterprise Sri Lanka programme, which provides loan schemes to 16 commercial enterprises including self-employed persons, was launched by the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media on March 2014 with the intention of producing 100,000 entrepreneurs in the country.

The loan scheme has granted loans amounting to Rs 58,817 million in total to 29,389 persons so far.
