Ranil’s security cut down to 10 personnel

UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe’s security detail have been reduced from 1,008 to 10 personnel, stated the Police.

This action has been taken under the orders of Inspector General of police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara.

Meanwhile, MP Nalin Bandara has released a letter, issued by the IGP regarding the Wickremesinghe’s security, to the media, yesterday (28).

According to the aforementioned letter, Mahinda Rajapaksa has been appointed as the Prime Minister and therefore additional security deployed for former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe attached to the Prime Minister Security Division and the Special task Force (STF) should be withdrawn immediately.
