Four new envoys present credentials to President

Four new Ambassadors including the new US envoy to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s House in Colombo, today (01).

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Sarah Amunugama, Secretary to the President Udaya R. Seneviratne, Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ravinatha Ariyasinghe were also present on this occasion.

The new envoys are:

Mrs. Alaina Teplitz      – Ambassador of the United State of America
Mr. Akira Sugiyama    – Ambassador of Japan
Mr. Eric Lavertu          – Ambassador of the Republic of France
Mr. Ashraf Haidari       – Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
