Rathana Thero agrees with appointment of new PM

Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero has made a statement that he will remain independent in the Parliament.

However, he will be supporting President Maithripala Sirisena, he stated addressing a press conference held in Colombo today (04).

He further says that he agrees with the President’s decision to appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa as the new Prime Minister.

Thero said that he requests the President to dissolve the parliament as soon as possible.
