Water cannons and tear gas used on protesting Buddhist monks

Galle Road in front of the Presidential Secretariat has been temporarily closed off due to a protest by Buddhist monks.

Police have used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protestors, stated Ada Derana reporter.
